Speakers, facilitators and thought leaders invited to share strategies for strengthening EMS associations and nonprofit organizations
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The organizations hosting the 2027 EAS — the American Ambulance Association, National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians — have opened the Call for Speakers for the event, taking place February 9–11, 2027, in Lexington, Kentucky.
Together, the organizations are seeking speakers, facilitators and thought leaders to help shape this year’s program.
EAS brings together State EMS and Ambulance Association leaders and staff from across the country to share ideas, address common challenges and strengthen the organizations that support the EMS community.
For 2027, the National Registry is seeking speakers, facilitators and thought leaders who can bring practical experience, fresh ideas, proven strategies, research and meaningful perspectives focused on the business of running, growing and sustaining successful associations and nonprofit organizations.
“EAS is designed to create meaningful conversations around the challenges association leaders are facing every day,” said Bill Seifarth, chief executive officer for the National Registry of EMTs. “We want participants to leave Lexington not only with new ideas, but with practical strategies, connections and resources they can take back and put to work in their own organizations.”
Based directly on feedback from 2026 EAS attendees, topics of particular interest for 2027 include:
- Volunteer recruitment and retention
- Membership engagement and retention
- Website and technology management
- Sponsorship development
- Marketing and communications
- Event and conference planning
- Educational programming
- Strategic planning
- Advocacy and government relations
- Funding and revenue development
- Board governance and leadership
- Grant writing
- Research and data utilization
- Workforce recruitment and retention
EAS also welcomes proposals that move beyond the traditional conference presentation. Facilitated discussions, working groups, roundtables, interactive sessions and opportunities to develop practical tools and resources are encouraged.
Experienced presenters as well as individuals with valuable expertise, successful approaches or lessons learned are invited to submit proposals. Additional ideas addressing the challenges and opportunities involved in leading, managing and growing EMS associations, ambulance associations, and nonprofit organizations are also welcome.
