Summary of Resolution 25-17
The National Registry Board of Directors has approved a resolution to create a new Advisory Group made up of representatives from across the EMS community. This group would include 10 to 15 members from diverse stakeholder organizations and would be chaired by the Immediate Past Chair of the Board (or another member of the Executive Committee, if needed). The Advisory Group would meet at least twice a year to provide reports, insights, and recommendations directly to the Board.
The goal of the Advisory Group is to strengthen communication between the National Registry and the broader EMS community. While Board members must act solely in the interest of the National Registry and cannot represent or share all internal information with their nominating organizations, this new group would create a formal, structured way to gather external perspectives. The Advisory Group would offer input on industry trends, community needs, and the practical impact of certification and testing programs. Its role would be advisory only; all governance and decision-making authority would remain with the Board.
